Carl and Pat are members of Wycliffe Bible Translators and have worked with the Summer Institute of Linguistics in Papua New Guinea since 1974. With all five of their children living in Canada, they are adjusting back to life with just the two of them. Their primary work has been among the Menya people around Menyamya. The initial translation is by trained Menya men who work together to ensure clear and accurate translations. All of the New Testament as well as portions of the Old has been translated to its first draft. Though the literacy level is low there are a growing number of people who want to learn to read and be able to understand the Bible.
The team needs both your prayers and support in bringing the New Testament to completion and for the continued enthusiasm and zeal for God's word. Other prayer requests include provision and guidance in all aspects of their lives.
